Seville bathroom wall light with pull cord switch and shaver socket. A modern wall light designed to be installed above a bathroom mirror.

This light fitting is designed for bathrooms but can only be used outside all of the bathroom lighting zones 0, 1 and 2. This light must be at least 60cm from the vertical edge of any bath or shower tray and 60cm from any sink tap.

This light fitting has an IEC protection class of 2, double insulated.

This light has an International Protection Rating of IP20. The first digit gives this light protection against contact and ingress of objects >12.5 mm in size. The second digit show that there is no protection of the equipment inside the enclosure against the ingress of water.

This light is fitted with a pull cord switch for off and on control. This light can also be wired to a wall switch, though if the pull cord is set to off the wall switch will have no effect. If you do not require the pull cord switch you may cut it, however be sure the light works and is switched to on before doing so.

This light fitting is suitable for installation onto a dimmer controlled circuit.

If using a main light switch or dimmer for your bathroom you may want to disable the fitted pull cord switch to avoid confusion. This can be done by having the light switched ON and then cutting the pull cord off.
